This. I would even settle for a

Speaking of keys, would be nice to have a slot for these in the inventory, or just do away with normal keys.

Maybe a 2nd set of shards. Current shards terrorize a whole act for the remainder of the game, which is good for
Herald
farming but not statue farming. A second set that could be used to terrorize a single zone for X (15?) minutes, regardless of how many games you make, would be cool.

    /Sunder to that this fits into players playstyle. We have 26 years folks of this game. Blizzard devs should not listen to streamers, they need to interact with actual players, they need to play their own freaking game and see how people play this game.
  • CI would almost think to remove the
    Herald
    connection to Sunders, and just make the plain Sunders (latent) drop like before. Make it so there is a cube recipe to get Renewed, and maybe make it similar to Ubers. Shards cube to create widget X, get 3 widget X to open portal to area. Maybe to a Terrorized Pit with boss that will drop another widget that can be used to craft the Sunder...you know similar to existing mechanics that fit how players play this game. Just wish the devs did as well.
  • Statues, rework statue drops entirely. Stop gating them behind Terrorized bosses, stop requiring Act 2

    to be farmed. Again this just smacked of design by someone that has never played the game. Since when in history of Diablo have we heard players say "Yeah I farm

    all the time". Could there be a reason we do not hear this? Just make them drop like the Essence, i.e. players can farm Andy for

  • You know what would be freaking awesome? To be able to view our characters & inventory offline, similar to how D3 had where we could look at our or other players profile & characters. To see what items are equiped, the stats, etc. But also to have the inventory which could be exported. Almost every player at some point has a mule, or two, or three and so on.
Dclone. Back in the day I understand the point to doing Dclone, and yet all they really did was make incentive to dupe more SOJs. I think (or naively believe) that most SOJs are being found in game (not excluding bots). But really this is a game content that outside of the whole SOJ thing is a lot of fun. The idea that this Uber boss can spawn randomly is great. Since last season I have come across Diablo about 4 or 5 times without having paid attention to any messages. It was a complete surprise
  • Add in Meph, Andy, Lillith, etc to drop different flavors of the anni (while only 1 can still be equiped).
  • Make it so players who have completed Act 5 (i.e. is now endgame) get these bosses to randomly spawn. Annis are a dime a dozen now, nothing special. So lets at least try to make the boss spawn exciting.
Just the other day I teleported into Countess room farming keys, and
Lo
& behold there was Diablo. I loved that, and I want more of it. The randomness of this is what is exciting.

Finally, the one that will probably be the least popular:
  • Give players the option when creating a game whether there will be shared vs individual loot. Let players decide which game they want to join. Make it so the individual drops are lot less that shared, but still more than P1. Give players a reason to play in groups instead of P1. Its 2026, not 2000, lets play this game just like every other game the past few decades. Shared loot was personally the dumbest of the dumb ideas in this game. Significantly bad design for a game that wanted us to play in groups, yet gave us the most significant reason to play solo. It defeated the purpose, and now for 26 years players have spent alone playing in private games. Lets change this mess.

I like all those ideas, other than changing the loot system. I like that when a
Jah
drops, everyone sees it and it's a rush to grab it. It's exciting!

I feel like when D3 first came out I was like "OH this is super cool, everyone gets their own loot now!" But that wore off quick. It's almost like you are playing with people but in different dimensions or something. Shared loot makes it feel more connected to me.

I can add one more things:
- Making the Chronicle like inventory so you can store the runewords/sets/unique you create/find. And can be used by every hero you create - account bind ( This will make the challenge to find/craft them more exiting and will not need 100 tabs of Stash to keep them :D)

Please stop the rumbling sound from playing on loop constantly after
Duriel
's Death if you save/exit during it.

If they're going to force people to go after him, the last thing we could do with is having Tinitus afterwards.

Several good ones that I considered adding myself, but I'll add one I've not seen yet:

In short, it'll shake up the early game a bit, might make some unique pieces better than runewords, make

's worth using, and would give -requirement jewels more value.

So many, ill keep it to top 4:
  • Buff Barb (and Physical in general) - Ex: Strength Points give more ED, or Dex points give more AR - this would incentivize variety in builds (seems current Meta on every build is dump everything in Vit) - real ED and/or AR boosts makes a tradeoff to consider between a glass cannon and a tank.
  • New ways to get
    Teleport
    - its basically mandatory to keep up with groups or farm efficiently. If something is mandatory, it should be reasonable to achieve
  • Improve Monster Immunity System (be it improved sunder drops, new ways to break immunity, or drop immunities altogether) - the new sunder drop rate makes many caster builds impractical for ladder play. Again, if something is mandatory, it should be reasonable to achieve (and reasonable is not established by Streamer opinion)
  • And, my Hardcore wish, make town portals have a gradient color scheme to indicate if monsters are in the vicinity.
    Like, azure blue if no monsters within 1 screen, navy blue/purple-ish if some monsters are on screen, and crimson red if its a DIRTY TP with 30 Moon Lords surrounding it.

this genuinely cuts out so many players for almost no benefit, its exciting for like 2 people but the rest are miserable. the amount of people who i have watched stop playing because someone wanted them to play and 1 person got to play a looter game while the other person got gifted the gear the other person deemed worth while for them is staggering.

I mostly agree. With personal loot and no trading D3 feels like an online SP game, with other players as hirelings/NPCs.
But OTOH the current system heavily favors melee builds (and unsurprisingly everyone switches to melee just before killing
Baal
).
How about "need before greed" system? I know that given this community, everyone would need everything, so essentially the loot system would just become a random roll (so maybe just make it random, with no intermediate steps?), but at least everyone could focus on killing mobs rather than snatching loot.

Yes! Right now I carefully look at the HP bar of the player who opened the TP, and avoid Cow Level portals entirely, unless I join the game from the beginning and enter it through the red portal with the party. Too many griefers around.
Or we could get the same system as in D3, that party members can
Teleport
to each other instead of leaving (possibly hot) TPs.

Strong disagree (at least about the latter part). Being able to effortlessly farm p8 is also mandatory endgame goal, but it doesn't mean every build should be buffed to be able to do so. Quite the opposite - OP ones should be nerfed instead.
Teleport
should also be nerfed, and maybe compensated with higher monster density, so teleporting across the map is no longer mandatory for farming.
