For the sidebar widget, you can choose to show LoD or RotW updates there - just click the cog icon and update your preferences. All users with existing preferences have had their widgets set to RotW.

That is up to other developers using the API to implement - I mean I could do my own notifications from scratch, but yeah, I think this is something to wait for. I have one small request: Is it possible to activate Expansion and RotW notifications? (Checkbox instead of Radio) Would be nice and helpful for the folks who are in both worlds (like myself)
