It's all good. I appreciate the input.rixsen wrote: 2 days agoYeah, edit is a lot of peoples friend....
I'm pretty sure you had these things in mind, but in your first version of the post these wern't clarified. That's the only reason I replied in the first place.
Whatever it's all clear now, that's what matters.

Thanks for the statistical breakdown all, interesting to confirm 100 runs.. exactly 5 Tkeys, go figure right. I run Countess all the time and that sounds about right.
The thing I like about Key farming Countess is even if you do about 50 runs in a week, once you get your Tkey set you're guaranteed to get a large base of low runes and a few Ko or Puls mixed in there too. I dunno, I feel like it's worth grinding once till you get your keys and runes, then bailing (baaling) from doing it again lol

When I hunt for runes, I consider TIME in a game. So... I want to farm high runes...? Okay. I could straight shot The Countess or the Worldstone Keep, straight to Baal and BANG!!! Done in 10 minutes...
Wrong. I prefer more time in the game. Perhaps this is just me.. However, I Make a HIT LIST:
The Countess
The Pit
Andariel
Creeping Feature
Fangskin
Duriel
Pindleskin
Eldritch the Rectifier
Dac Farren
Shenk the Overseer
Baal
The list changes. It helps to stir things up and keep me interested... Not a Set List.
All that said, I like to do full map clears. But what I am really looking for.... I want more than 20 minutes in the game. Ever notice how some people complain that they never get anything good? Yet, all they do is farm The Countess or Mephisto....?

OP
This is how I usually do farming runs. My pally has a list to hit. My sorc has a slightly different list. Either way a full run takes some time. For the dedicated people running one mob repeatedly, it can be very profitable, but I can't stand playing when most of my time is loading screens and teleporting past everything. Five to ten runs in a row on the same mob is about the most I can handle. This 100 Countess runs was almost painful to me it was so boring. Almost made me dislike the game, so I'm taking a farming break and leveling up some other characters.QuadraHedron wrote: 16 hours agoWhen I hunt for runes, I consider TIME in a game. So... Exactly. I need to change up what I do in this game or I'm asleep or I'm too relaxed within seconds. I can't play in auto-pilot mode. I need to be purposefully remembering the new list of bosses and mobs while dealing with the mechanics that will challenge me. Plus it's always a pleasant surprise to see that next Ohm or Ber rune drop and who drops it. Yes, I do include those normal bosses such as The Countess. But again, I clear the entire Forgotten Tower which helps to break up the monotony.RackAnewShoe wrote: 6 hours agoThis is how I usually do farming runs. My pally has a list to hit. It's probably the same as the change was so long ago, Circa 2002, I think... When Blizzard decided that players were farming Bosses too much. So Blizzard nerfed what the Bosses could drop. Literally, Blizzard minimized the treasure classes for the Bosses Random Number Generation and told the players to find their Uniques somewhere else. Was this something that Blizzard left dead and buried with LoD? Or did Blizzard resurrect this also in the Resurrected Version?
All drop changes were made as part of a patch, and D2R was based on the last LoD patch (and has since deviated, with additions/changes). So when D2R releseased, it was basically at the same state as LoD was at the end in terms of treasure classes / drop rates, monster stats, item stats, skills stats, etc.QuadraHedron wrote: 5 hours agoWas this something that Blizzard left dead and buried with LoD? I'm in CET (Central European Time)
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.
Holy Grail Death Count: 1

Thanks for that response, ShadowHeart. And yeah. That's exactly to my point. Blizzard made Diablo 2 Resurrected exactly how LoD ended. Which explains why my greatest and most satisfying drops occur from normal monsters and non super elites. It is best to clear the maps to find the good loot versus farming only super elites and act bosses. Granted, the Act Bosses and Super Elites will still drop nice loot... However, it does not occur with the same frequency as before 2003.ShadowHeart wrote: 1 hour agoAll drop changes were made as part of a patch, and D2R was based on the last LoD patch (and has since deviated, with additions/changes).
