When you think the map is left but it's actually right.

I hate the maggot lair.

Yeah, Maggot Lair is right-oriented (on floors 1 and 2, the exit tile is always facing right* in relation to the entry tile - on level 3 it's straight ahead), so this makes perfect sense. I used to always be confused in Maggot Lair until I finally started to actually remember how it's laid out. I learned other maps, ones you farm often I mean, faster/sooner, Maggot Lair took a long while for me to "stick", longer than I would like to admit

But yes, I get the frustration...

* this doesn't necessarily mean that it's a right turn - it often is, but it's a common misconception that the left/right alignment of maps always means a left/right turn

The maps I run a lot I have a "feel" for, but I never liked maggot lair so I have to keep guessing every time. Plus the whole "left" map doesn't actually mean turn left thing throws me. Maybe in another 20 years I'll have it figured out.
