Description

I've been thinking about trying a throw barb, so my Zerker has an entire stash filled with throwable weapons that may or may not be junk. I've got
Lacerator
,
Deathbit
, and a bunch of rares with %ED, Life steal, IAS, attack rating, some replenishes quantity, and increased stack size. Are there specific things that I should look for on a throw barb weapon beyond that? Any tips?

I do have a
Razortail
and was going to make a Wisdom.

GG-rare throwing weapons not withstanding, ethereal
Lacerator
and ethereal
Warshrike
are BiS weapons for throw-barbs.

I'm willing to accept other forms of currency. Like Tokens, Keys,
Perfect Gems
, and certain minor runes in lieu of my asking price. I'm also willing to accept rune combinations that add up to my asking price.

The
Deathbit
in the offhand paired with a fast rare, magic or
Blood Weapon
will carry you through nightmare until you can wear the
Lacerator
at level 68 in your main hand. As a
Helm
I would suggest GFace.

Belt
is optional imo. When you have a
Warshrike
in the offhand you have enough piercing percentage.

The fastest IAS breakpoint I believe is only possible with an act 1 merc with Faith bow.

Currently I am playing a throw-Barb ladder hardcore. Since it is hardcore I do not prioritize max damage and I only play solo. He is at level 84 and I am very happy with him. Here is the my set-up at maxroll: https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2planner/id1qr060

Corpsemourn
over something like Fortitude?

Fortitude is BiS, in case you want to
Teleport
of course Enigma.

The
Corpsemourn
has
Corpse Explosion
and this is an overpowered skill. I always wanted to include the
Corpsemourn
in one of my builds but this never worked out. I found this armor this season again and did not throw it away (i do not even know why). So I decided to check if it would work with the throw barb. Imo It works realy well with the throw barb. I am always very happy when I use this overpowered skill. In case situations get dicy, or in case I am fighting monster packs with high health pool, you just kill two monsters and blow up the whole place :-) It also helps with uniques in case a corpse is nearby. You have 40 charges, and when I decide to use
Corpse Explosion
during a run on average I use 5-8 charges together in a specific situation. So I could use
Corpse Explosion
in 6 situations during a run. I never use it that much. In addition the repair costs are very cheap.

In case you are using the act two merc with the
Holy Freeze
aura, then the
Grim Ward
works realy well. Some monster, for example the scarab bugs, they don't move at all due to the stacked slow effects from
Holy Freeze
and
Grim Ward
.

Corpse Explosion
. I never thought to try it outside of Necromancer.
I agree that
Grim Ward
is slept on. It's definitely and underrated skill.
