Have you guys ever heard of a hidden physical damage reduction that medium/heavy armors are supposed to have?
The numbers exist in the game files but are unused by the game engine. So it seems like a feature that was scrapped at some point during development.
(for the record, you can extract the internal txt files of game and look at them yourself - the absorb value is one of the columns in armor.txt)

Unless it's a monster that looks like a child, I'm quite certain there are no children in Diablo 2.
I think we're talking about dead Wirt.
Wirt was a child in Diablo 1 but he grew up, and he's not near the bottom left corner of the map, he's near the top left.
I would just say left only, for both: people thinking top-left is top, and people thinking top-right is top, that would be correct!

Then how do you know which direction is east or west?
No, I can't, so maybe it only works for 2'o clock, 4'o clock, 8 o'clock, and 10 o'clock direction?

Time gap between events of "Diablo" and "Diablo II" is less than a year, so deamons that took over Tristram definitely commited infanticide.
Also, given that people of Lut Gholein are certainly from the East-inspired culture, some of the harem girls in Jerhyn's palace may be under 18 too. (:
Regardless, the original question was "what happened to all the kids in Sanctuary?" I guess the answer is pretty clear...
"superior" makes item more expensive to repair, but incrased durability is the one that makes price go beyond retarded?
found a 13%ED 12%durability Monarch, should I just Charsi it?

I'd definitly check first, if you can't sell this item! Spirit is used with many chars and with Larzuk you get guaranteed 4 sockets.
If 13%ED is enough to make it really valuable? No idea.
But it DOES make for a better Spirit base.
How much it may be worth? Absolutly no idea, so before you trade it, consider asking for a price check first. (maybe somebody in this thread can give you more information)
I've got another one - if a Coronet is upgraded to a Diadem using the upgrade recipe twice, can it then be rerolled continuously using the 6xPSkull recipe and have any modifier in the game?

It's a common misconception that it's the increased durability that makes repair costs go through the roof, but it's actually the superior tag itself that does it, no matter whether the item has enhanced defense, increased durabilty, or both.
As you can see, the difference between an item with enhanced defense and one that has both enhanced defense and increased durability is negligible.
(there are more examples to show this, but I didn't have time to find more right now right now)

All Diadems have the same properties in regards to how it affects rare item affix selection - they have a Qlvl of 85 and a magic level bonus of +18, meaning that any Diadem regardless of its ilvl or how it was acquired (dropped, via imbue, or via cube upgrade) can roll any affix.
Do keep in mind though that a Diadem with a low ilvl (<26) will be capped at 1 socket if it rolls the Mechanic prefix (which grants 1-2 sockets).

None of that matters because Wirt isn't alive, and there are still no "children" (plural) in diablo 2.

Good to know. I have a Tiara that was upgraded from Coronet on my FoHSmiter with 20 FCR and some other random bullshit. Was debating on upgrading again to Diadem and then possibly rerolling it to try and get a +2 pally skills & 20 FCR. So maybe I'll give it a shot.

Here's a big one: why does the "legacy graphics" mode in D2R look so much different from, you know, what legacy Diablo 2 actually looks like? It's like all of the fonts are wrong, aside from the graphics feeling stuck at 640x480 even in the purported 800x600 mode.
My tinfoil hat theory is that the "legacy graphics" of D2R are intentionally release, unpatched D2 graphics in order to make D2R look better. Which they really didn't need to do since D2R looks fantastic.
Something's definitely wrong with the D2R legacy graphics, because I have noticed that when I switch to it and play for about 5-10 minutes I get extremely nauseating, it has noticeable strain on my eyes and often I get headaches from just looking at the game; while when I boot up the regular D2 I experience nothing similar. It must be something with some sort of bloom, sharpening or weird refresh rate or something along those lines...
Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd
