I'm assuming there's something stopping you from using more Book of Skills/Potion of Lifes/Scroll of Resistances than the one per difficulty you get from completing their respective quests but what is it? Just occured to me that I couldn't actually think of a reason you couldn't use more of them if you got extra copies somehow
You simply can't pick it up. If you already have it in your inventory or personal stash, or if you ever used it (on that difficulty) you simply cannot pick it up from the ground again. The same happens to quest items like for example
Horadric Staff
or Khalim's parts or even the soulstone. :)

However! You could collect them on different difficulty if people dropped theirs (or you have a friend/other acc) but I'm assuming it needs to be from that particular difficulty, although you can do all of them from Act 1 -- just an assumption (haven't really tested this out yet). A big note here is tho: that other person who is dropping you those 'buff' stuff also needs to have those quests not finished so they also can pick them up which is, well, not impossible since they are all parts of a side quests.

Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."

K so not necessarily a dumb question but an off topic question, sorry if not allowed, but what kind of alcohol goes good with hot apple cider? Any suggestions lol
Not speaking from experience but if I was going to try it out myself I'd probably start with brandy or spiced rum

If you can find/afford Calvados that might be fun to try. Also might be tempted to try Grand Marnier or something
I ended up going with Lamb's Spiced Rum, and turns out its pretty delicious. Out of what I have here (tequila, Jameson's, and Lamb's spiced) seemed like the best choice.

Brandy, Grand Marnier, or Hennessy I am fond of but usually straight/neat, I find any kind of mixer usually ruins those ones.

defense also drops to 0 when you are running, so walking or using
Whirlwind
are the only ways to keep defense when moving as far as i know
As I understand it, also
Teleport
. Since you are just standing there when you arrive at your destination, no defense penalty. Just another thing that makes Enigma such an OP runeword.

As far as i know, as a necromancer you can wear full trang ouls set and while then morphed you can switch to walk but move with same speed like running

There were children in D2 in 2000's...
They all became 35+.

What is the point of the Stamina mechanic, from a game design perspective? It stops being a factor by the time you get to Act 3 in Normal usually so I wonder why stamina potions keep dropping in Hell for instance lmao

Its goal is to slow down your progression.

I saw David Brevik complain about that mechanic in an interview once, in terms of regretting its implementation.

Do bad guys have mana?

I figure they must have the cooldowns, because otherwise those blood lords would just be casting Metor all the time, but then maybe its because they ran out of mana

The devs have said in interviews they regretted it too. Its like a "newbie tax" if I remember right.

I kind of both hate and don't hate stamina. I gives a feeling of progression since a Brand new untwinked character really feels it and you get a sense of development as you level and it no longer matters. But at the same time, it doesn't really add much beyond annoyance and a useless stat for some items,
Bul-Kathos' Wedding Band
, to buff instead of something worthwhile.

Plus
Vigor
needs to do something besides give you the zoomies.

No. They have "AI", and that "AI" is just a table of possible actions (such as melee, shoot, skill, approach, flee), with probabilities of each and delays, and those prevent spamming one skill.

I don't know, IMO you underestimate the value of progression, of feeling that you are getting stronger.

When you start a new D2 char, you can't run constantly, you are very soon out of mana...
While leveling up / finding some gear, it gets better and better and you feel that your char is getting somewhere and getting stronger.
That feels VERY rewarding for many players, maybe even only subconciously.

I played Diablo 4 in the free trials, but I thought it became boring extremly fast. Yes, it looked nice. But a big part of why I quitted after just a few hours was, that I never felt like I got more powerful. I could run all the time right from the start. Enemies scaled, so that even the very first areas didn't feel any different on level 10 than on level 3.

Sure, if you have played D2 a little you just buy stamina potions all the time. And esp. if you have something like a Sanders
Boots
from another char it makes the game smoother. So that you tend to think "what's the point of stamina"

But again, I think you underestimate the value the progression feeling has for new players whose goal is not to "get to hell in a few hours because you know every mechanic for fast leveling"

Here's a big one: why does the "legacy graphics" mode in D2R look so much different from, you know, what legacy Diablo 2 actually looks like? It's like all of the fonts are wrong, aside from the graphics feeling stuck at 640x480 even in the purported 800x600 mode.

My tinfoil hat theory is that the "legacy graphics" of D2R are intentionally release, unpatched D2 graphics in order to make D2R look better. Which they really didn't need to do since D2R looks fantastic.

There is at least one young kid in Diablo II, which can be found in
Tristram
, near the bottom left corner of the map.

It looks a bit better if you change the legacy graphics emulation mode. Yes, there's actually a setting for this - and the default is the worst (IMO), it's just the default because it was the only mode available at launch and they didn't want to force a change onto unsuspecting users who might enjoy it. (?) The other 2 options were added in a later patch.

I explain it a bit more in this post:
post3996514.html#p3996514

The default setting is 'GDI' and it looks the worst (most pixelated look).

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.

Have you guys ever heard of a hidden physical damage reduction that medium/heavy armors are supposed to have?

I am 99% sure it's a hoax, but when I first heard about it it made total sense. Medium and heavy armors slow you down, so it would make sense to give a bit of physical dmg reduction...

Unless it's a monster that looks like a child, I'm quite certain there are no children in Diablo 2.
