Description

Recently , I am playing with ig , item based skill...

Wondering if this is useful as Summoning nec?

As nec, sometimes I use arm of leoric to call skeletons, ig .

I am thinking about use Oath or use meta-gird. As trade off, it lost CtA, or does not use arm of leoric or +3 summoning amulet.

0 points in ig but use item to replace it. Does this sounds okay?

Or even cresent of moon wolf....

Yes, charges get synergies (like golem mastery in this case). However, I don't really see the benefits. Saving 2 skill points and sacrificing your amulet / offhand slot? Doesn't seem like a good tradeoff for me.

Oath has lvl17 IG, a decent nec has lvl17 ig with a single point invested there. Also, maxing IG itself only increase the thorns damage of IG, so it really is a 1pt wonder.

Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.

From personal experience, an IG without the support of
Golem Mastery
dies very easily even in P1 non-TZ. You can use items like Oath and
Metalgrid
to save skill points on
Iron Golem
itself. But if you don't max out
Golem Mastery
it will be a wasted effort.

I can trade DLC or non-DLC on both PC or xbox.

All my
Blood Ring
and
Caster Amulet
priced at
Ist
or below are now FREE.

I will max
Golem Mastery
.

I am thinking about this to save 20 pt in ig and spend elsewhere.

Also thinking about summoning things, like wolf and other stuff that yet play.

I play most on players 1-3 with my Necro Summoner, but I consider
Golem Mastery
and
Iron Golem
as "1 hit wonder" skills and my Golem almost never die....🤔
Maybe his survival is an issue if you don't have Skeletons as "extra targets" but with them, Golem have no issue in surviving...

Although synergies work normally with charged items, your +skill bonus will not...
so with +20 skill from items your Oath will still create a L17
Iron Golem
...
(in my case I have only 1 raw point and L21
Iron Golem
with my "farm equipment")

Another thing to consider is that the golem is recreated each time you begin a new game (based on you current equipment), so you may equip some +skill items before exiting to make your Golem stronger on next game 😉

And if you want to use Oath and no raw point you cannot swap weapons or your Golem will die...
