Eth Self-Repair Paly Shield - Useful?

Guys, this just dropped and I'm really curious if there's any use to it.
Is 545 defense high?
Is this worth socketing?

Well socketing it would only give you 1-2 sockets, while the Jeweler's affix would give 4 sockets. So you'd have to be lucky enough to get 2 sockets. If you got 1 socket, it'd be worthless in my opinion.
You also don't have the best auto-mod on the shield. Having only the Prismatic auto-mod for a 32 out of 35 all resistances. It is possible to get up to 45 all res with the Chromatic auto-mod.

What do you think would be useful to put in the open sockets? IAS/ED Jewels? If that is the case, wouldn't you rather have 4 open sockets?

Eth, non-upped HOZ would give you close to that much defense but within a ton more benefits.
