Confirming that some items I ignore, really have no value...

Hi

Here are some items that I ignore while farming as I believe they can have no relevant value.

I want to confirm if I'm right about them , or if I should be looking at them expecting for some "godly" rolls

OBS: softcore, non-ladder

1 - normal/socket helms (bases with 2-sockets): no relevant runeword.

2 - magic/rare helms, except
Circlets,
druid Pelts and
Barbarian Helms

3 - rare/magic staves: even if you find a godly combination that would eventually be better than Heart of the Oak + Spirit shield, you can have a similiar (or a litle worse) rare/magic orb and combine it with a Spirit shield...

4 - normal/socket staff (bases with 4- Sockets): no relevant runeword
(5/6 sockets on the other hand can be used for Call To Arms, Obsession or Breath of the Dying - if ethereal)

5 - normal/socket orbs: no relevant runeword

6 - normal/socket claws (bases with 2- Sockets): no relevant runeword
(3 socket caws, you can make a Plague, for up to +5 to some skill or for bladessin)

7 - normal/socket scepters (bases with 3- socktes): no relevant runeword.

8 - magic weapons in general, except
Amazon javelins (can roll up to 6 java sk) and
Orbs/wands/claws/Scepters (can roll with up +6 to some skill)

9 - rare melee or throwing weapons, except
ethereal and
Orbs/wands/claws/Scepters (can roll with up +5 to some skill)

10 - magic shields (bases with 3- sockets), except
Shrunken Heads (can roll with up +6 to some skill)

11 - rare shields, except
Shrunken Heads (can roll with up +5 to some skill)

12 - normal/magic boots: rares are stritly better

13 - normal/magic belts: rares are stritly better

You probably include this in "circlets", but I think magic/rare coronets have value as well because they can roll with FCR and skills.

How come a Diadem counts as a Circlet when only Tiara, Circlet and Coronet are the same base with different qualities?

the four are from the same base category/type "Circlets" ( Circlet and Coronet are normal, Tiara is exceptional and Diadem Elite)
They both can roll with the same affixes, that cannot roll on regular Helms (like fcr and frw)
(except that magic Circlet and Coronet cannot roll with 3 sockets...)

I'm not sure what you mean when you list an except with sockets. If you don't pick up the item, how do you know how many sockets it has? Or are you saying you do pick up the item and if it has 'x' sockets or less, you dump it regardless of the rolls?

I sold a 2 socket Battle Staff that has +2fire mastery/+2hydra/+3 Meteor for a Jah. Buyer made Leaf in it and used it for >30 dueling.

Claws with +3 light sentry can sell for a good amount double digit Jah if paired with other good skills. Don't for get facet jewels are powerful. Not everything needs a runeword.

5os scepters with +3 foh/+3conviction and +3hammer/+3concentration are very valuable. Also 5os scepters with +1 to one point wonders like Redemption and Sanctuary (that save spending skill points)

I'll pick up magic Monarch's (looking for JMOD) and magic paladin shields which can also roll with 4os the Deflecting suffix and automods.

Something like that...
With staves for example, only Archon Staff/ War Staff/ Rune Staff may have 5/6 sockets, so the others staves I ignore and those three, when socketed, I have to pick up to see if they have 5 or 6 sockets...

Similar to the staff case, I look for War Scepter/ Divine Scepter/ Caduceus (I'm considering them a base with 5 sockets )

4os staffs with +3 Energy Shield, +3 Frozen Armor, +3 Thunder Storm will sell for massive amounts.

Memory right?
(I confused that with Obsession... actually I wrote Memory on the first version of the description of the thread and then changed to Obsession thinking that was Obsession that had Energy Shield bonus.... )

Yes for Memory. Even +3es and any amount of the other 2 skills will sell for a good amount. Memory is 4os though. Obsession (also a great runeword) is 6os.

I found a 4os base staff with +3 Energy Shield and +2 Nova (I think it was Nova, not home atm to check). I saved it thinking it had value for Memory, I guess I was right?

The desired skills on a Memory staff are buff skills like Energy Shield, thunderstorm, and frozen or Chilling Armor. Nova is not a buffing skill so the value of your staff is limited to just the +3 to Energy Shield. Which is still around a Vex - Lo if it has 4os.

Perhaps rare Helm that are ethereal with the repair mods along with the Visio mod. I think Cooley just did a video on melee pvp items.

You're thinking of Blood Helm that rolls 10% deadly strike, visio, and 2os.

I thought Blood Helm only worth as a budget "Helm with life steal" (mainly for Merc)
