[Rumour Mill] Possible D2R update on the way in 2025?

If it's a halfdecent or better addon, and it's a single purchase at a pricetag that isn't ridiculously excessive... Why not?
Would be totally worth it, since we're already playing it.

Are you seriously saying ACTIVISION Blizzard would not make ridiculously excessive pricetag? Diablo 4... 70€... No game should be above 60€, NONE, there is no excuses. No DLC should cost more than 20€, NONE, there is no excuses. Its all about greed and Activision has plenty of it.

If a new DLC would appear, it would be half pissed poor quality, most likely would be some sort of place holder with tons of bugs and issues.

No but seriously, ive spent my fair share in D2 original but it was different. D2r is buggy af and has its issues and engine limits.

While i would prefer that you were right, have you missed that we've had something like 30% to >100% inflation in the last 4 years? Depending on specific items.

Sadly, i have to say, i'm more surprised pricetags haven't gone up a lot more.

I mean, they almost certainly WILL do so in the near future, but it's strange that they haven't already.

UPDATE on D2R:

Focus groups are next week.

Some specific questions that were asked in screening interviews:

• What does the game mean to you, how do you feel about the story

• What enhancements do you have in mind

• How would you feel about extra content like an expansion

• Have you played other diablo games

Sounds promising TBH.

I would love to see extra content as well as an expansion for D2 provided they keep it D2 and don't D3 or D4 it.

Basically those outlined by Llama in terms of QoL included in PD2, such as currency tabs, etc. to make the process of building assets less about tetris, and more about rewarding play time.

The game loop is good enough as is, I don't want activision to touch it. D3/D4 are good examples of why.

Personally, I think it would be cool to see

Standard of Heroes used to unlock additional end-game content.

I hope, if they do any major changes, that it's just like a new end game boss or event, or something like that. D2 has had 4 acts and an expansion for so long, I don't know how I'd feel about act 6. They'd probably end up sending us to heaven or something, maybe follow what happened to

Tyrael post D2 pre D3.
