Description
Enchants equipped weapon of targeted character or minion. Adds fire damage to melee weapons. Adds one-third fire damage to ranged weapons.
Enchant can be cast on other party members, Minions and Hirelings. Once active, you can switch between weapons and they will all have additional fire damage. Enchant will even work to improve Arrows, so cast it on Amazons.
Enchant works very well with Hirelings, especially Act II and Act V Hirelings. Find an Orb or Staff with +1-3 to Enchant and place it in your alternate Weapon Tab. Switch to that weapon, cast Enchant on your Hireling, then switch back to your main Weapon Tab. You can tell when Enchant has worn off by opening your Hireling Screen and noting the damage for the Hireling. If it's not red, Enchant has worn off. Using Enchant you can significantly increase the damage of your Hireling. You can place "real" points into Enchant or use + Skills/Skill Tab Items to further enhance Enchant on your Hireling.
Using Enchant on ranged weapons boosts the damage by a variable amount.

Lore
Upon learning this skill, an experienced Sorceress has the ability to imbue a weapon with the power of fire. The renowned Sorceress, Habacalva, once assaulted the elemental planes themselves wielding such an enchanted mace.
Her enemies soon came to fear the mention of the weapon as much as her name.

Enchant + Infinity Support Sorceress
Enchant can also be found as charges on Demon Limb (L23) and Todesfaelle Flamme (L10); and as proc on Obedience (L21), Lava Gout (L10) and Immortal King's Soul Cage (L5). Any of these can be a useful complement to a character's arsenal to prepare for situations where additional Attack Rating is needed -- in particular for builds that rely on ITD, and have trouble hitting bosses.
Enchant is a more viable core skill than it might initially appear due to its somewhat unintuitive interaction with Fire Mastery.
First, Fire Mastery will increase the fire damage added to an Enchanted target's Attacks by its listed percentage. This is reflected on the Enchant tooltip, which will factor in the synergy from Warmth, as well.
However, Fire Mastery also increases the fire damage added to a Sorceress's Attacks by non-skill sources such as socketed Rubies. This includes an increase to the fire damage added from an active Enchant.
In effect, this results in a "double dip", where Fire Mastery will increase Enchant's base damage twice for attacks made by the Sorceress. This can result in an extremely damaging Zeal from a Passion Phase Blade or devastating Explosive Arrows or Bolts from Kuko Shakaku or Demon Machine.
