Description

I was trying to find Trang's Girth (
Belt
) today on Playstation.

I had a spare Wing (Shield) I was looking to trade.

Ran the game "TrangWing4Belt" for half an hour and got four offers using... the Wing.
Ran the game "TrangBelt4Wing" for half an hour and got three offers using... the Wing.

I laughed. ^_^

I finally got a decent
Belt
, but I think we need a bit more space in game names.

Use "N x O y" names.

N(eed) TrangBelt O(ffer)
Pul

or
N TrangBelt O Read
and write your offer into the game description.

Take this potion of LUCK

You play in a different language and want to trade an item with the name "Brennender Riesenzauber der Verstümmelung"?
Use the Baaltor tool to translate it into "Burning Grand Charm of Maiming"

Not sure what region you're on but in my personal experience, the "x 4 y" naming really only works reliably on Americas. With x being what you sell/offer and y what you want for it.

Everywhere else, people just don't grasp it and you're far better off with "o X n Y".

Thanks folks; the alternate version makes a lot more sense--to me at least.

Nice. Trang-Oul themselves responded...

Switch
Also trang
Belt
is the hardest part of the set to find and either the most useful or tied with the gloves, so everyone is going to be after it. I’d try to offer more than the wing

Oh? I didn't correctly recall that. I had thought it was the armor. I'm thinking of another set I'm sure.

[Edit]
I remember Immortal King being a colossal pain to find.

I eventually did that. I traded someone else for a pair of the gloves and offered both. The
Belt
I got isn't great, but I got one at least.

The Trang-Oul armor is only exceptional (not elite) and TC63, while the
Belt
is elite and TC84, so no, the armor is not the hardest part to find :)

Is is indeed, because it's a
Sacred Armor
which is elite and also of the highest treasure class in the game (TC87) :)

I've found that thing so many times that I just leave it on the floor and yet there are so many awesome TC87 items that I have never found. :x

Well, the "N wants O haves" or "O haves N wants" things made perfect sense to me, but others seems to have a problem with it.

I ran the game "N green O 4blue" for about two hours total and got two offers using blues.

You must be having the worst of luck lol. The O/N thing is as old as classic D2 as far as know. There's also LF (Looking For) and FT (For Trade) one can use...

Earlier on in ladder I made many games with the same name "O Uanni N xxx" and not once did someone come in and offer me an unid anni. It was all on EU, though, but I feel that it should work even better in NA lol.

Well, I'm not going to complain--more than I already have--because someone gave me a 16/15/10
Annihilus
yesterday during my trades.

I guess they threw it in as a bonus.

I think that maybe my experience has more to do with it being on console, but who knows!?

Yeah, you may be right! I suppose most of the OG D2/LoD players chose to get the game on PC, where those acronyms have been established for a while.
