Description

I've recently crafted 110 caster rings. Biggest mistake of my D2 life, biggest waste of Perfect Amethyst, but that's it, I just wanted to try.
These are the only 10% FCR rolls I got.

I wonder if any build could actually benefit from them.

FCR + mana leech sounds like it may be useful for Enigma javas as they typically wouldn't mind at least some FCR and need somewhere to get their mana leech in.
The same is true for some Enigma melee builds.

Whether that makes it actually worth anything...who knows.

i suppose a Caster Ring could be useful for an Energy Shield sorceress if you got a roll with FCR and particularly high mana. but yeah, i'd certainly use the crafting materials on caster amulets or even belts before ever considering rings.

wait wait wait I'm sorry, you crafted ONE HUNDRED AND TEN caster rings, am I reading this right? You should hold a giveaway or something, jeez louise. I could see the lower lvl req. rings carrying some players through a bulk of their levels til they can use bulkathos and ravens, or whatever they may have BIS.

Crafting rng is always meaner than regular drop rng I feel.

Def stick to caster ammys from now on.

The problem with caster rings is that 10%fcr can already be reached by simply gambling, and money is much more available than Pamethysts and Ral. I do use 2 fcr rings (need these for the 125 necro breakpoint as I prefer Homunculus to Spirit Monarch) but both are rare, not crafted, and most people will indeed prefer SoJ / BK / Frost.

That's what Darkforce Spawn was invented for.

If only 10% FCR was guaranteed as part of Caster Ring roll.. Then it might be worth it. I watched a vid where one guy crafted 250 blood rings and didn't get a single good one. Mostly junk with only a handful of barely mediocre rolls.

When I'm not slaying demons, I'm usually out hiking mountains.

I play Max Block Necro, hence Homunc for the Win

Now with Vipermagi, 2/10 amulet, Shako, Boneshade, 2 fcr rings, Trang Claws and Arach. When I finally get my Enigma will need a 2/20 amulet (have a 1/20 in store at least) and either swap to Hoto or swap Shako for 2/20 Circlet.
