To be fair, if you're any sort of ranged, they'll still last for ages.

Dont use them with a melee class, but if you use them with a sorc you will be fine for a substantial amount of time

Yeah same story here, first pair of WT's I ever got (in D2R anyway).

So in the span of like a minute I went from:

"Ooooh WT, sweet!!! Finally..."
*looks at inventory*
"Oh god damn it, ethereal, really?"
*identifies it*
"ARE YOU ACTUALLY KIDDING ME?????"

Still, I guess you guys are right. Not like I was running around with perfect WT's on my sorc before, so if I can use em for a while and the little bit of extra MF helps me get another nice drop I suppose it was worth it...
