Pretty sure not mentioning Act 5 barb mercs was a deliberate joke. How do you show how much you hate something, or how useless you think it is? The best way, imo, is to simply pretend like it doesn't exist. This is probably the greatest insult he could have given, if we're honest.

Ya exactly. His freezing aoe spam is super nice for any class. And with high FCR he casts it pretty quick.
Honestly the A5 merc isnt completely worthless either. Even If you give him just a Lawbringer and Treachery with a good Helm he aint even that bad.
I was using an A5 merc w/ Lawbringer recently. Sanctuary Aura knocks back undead making places like Chaos Sanctuary safer to run, and the curse cuts physical immunity.
I just wish they could dual wield.

i'm wondering if maybe they are making some changes for the ladder season. since it is so much delayed. but maybe they just don't want it to be released to close to the non ladder start.

They better. This wait has been super painful lol. They had us all thinking ladder was going to start briefly after launch, not 6 months later :O
