Description

Hey guys. My goal is to make a pit zerker and farm some TC87's. I think I have the most important gear part sorted, being Enigma. I do miss a
Cham
rune for the
Harlequin Crest
, a Grief and a 6
Ist
'ed
Phase Blade
.

Although not ideal I can see how I can fix the
Cham
and the 6
Ist
'ed
Phase Blade
. I could run a Rhyme or
Trang-Oul's Girth
for the "Cannot be frozen". Wearing a shield would also temporarily solve the missing
Phase Blade
. What I can't seem to find any information on, is the Grief. What could I possibly run instead of Grief for the time being? Or is it not even worth running pits without Grief. Keep in mind i want to be more or less efficient since I'm farming on an Enigma hammerdin atm.

Any help will be much appreciated! :<

Very good topic, I'm trying to build pitzerker too. My primary weapon is Oath runeword in eth cryptic sword 325% Ed with no cold damage.
I think this is a best choice for melee fighters who can't get Ebotd, Grief and other expensive runewords.
Second hand - the most interesting. I"m sure it must be a shield because berserker skill is very dangerous for life )
75% block and high resists are pretty good.
But it's a really hard to choice best shield. Rhyme is good, but Cham'ed Gerke or Spirit Ward may be better. People recommends Moser's shield, but I compared upgraded mosers with Spirit ward - last have better % of block and other goods even without fade...

Budget Grief options:
- Crescent Moon
- Lawbringer
-
Azurewrath

Playing Diablo 2 for over 20 years.
Always in need of Runes, Keys/Organs and PGems!
Also check my Profile for open trades :)

If you want, I actually have an
Azurewrath
in my stash that you can have.

For trades: PrincipalO#2775
For DClone/Ubers: ForrestGrump#2731

OP
@Zerum Thanks a lot for replying. But I'm afraid Lawbringer and
Azurewrath
are not an option for a pit zerker since it adds cold damage. That would shatter the corpses which means I would not be able to use
Find Item
. I will certainly try Crescent Moon when I find a 3os
Phase Blade
. I did not bother keeping those bases. :'(

OP
@PrincipalOShagH Thank you but it adds cold damage. I can't use that.

@Magicos
Just found 3OS
Phase Blade
, if you need one ^^

OP
@Imp-rostov I think
Stormshield
could also be a contender here. The damage reduction on that one is high. A small update on my pit zerker. I was lucky enough to find a
Stone of Jordan
which I traded for a
Lo
rune. With that I made a Grief which rolled 34% IAS. Not the highest roll but with
Goldwrap
I am hitting the 42% IAS breakpoint for
Berserk
. I'm so stoked!!!

Looking forward to build my own zerker soon'ish. The Option to use Oath at the beginning sounds good. What would be viable bases for both Oath and Grief, Considering one is not looking for the absolut perfect stuff?

Prices are negotiable :)

Grief only in
Phase Blade
and nothing else, of course. Many guides recommend an
Eth
Balrog Blade
for Oath, but some experts says
Highland Blade
is better. I bet attack range of
Cryptic Sword
is same with BB and it has one of the top atack speed of Ethernal base weapons
