The in game lobby is pretty much useless. Blizz really tried hard to give that touch up, eh?

Can be used to make Runewords:
You could create a Player Services Trade Thread and list that you are LFG for Baal runs and see who bites. 
That new feature will be a catch all for Ubers, Rushes and LFG threads.
