Hello everyone Just a quick update about the last two days here on diablo2.io. Got some stats and upcoming changes etc. to talk about. This topic is now outdated. Please read the patch notes for v1.0.
First of all welcome to everyone who joined in the recent days! I wasn't expecting 2000 of you though I'm going to be honest It's been a real pleasure to see the marketplace bubbling with activity and people completing trades with real items. Here are some screenies I took:
The site has seen quite a big spike in traffic - from a few unexpected sources (google results have soared), existing members have returned for game launch, and of course all the new folks arriving. Here are some stats for you to look at:
On top of the 600 or so people knocking on the door today, the site got DDOS attacked this morning which caused about 4 hours of disruption. This is why some of you may be seeing CAPTCHA challenges every now and again, or experiencing other weird behaviour on the site today. Sorry for the outages and still investigating with hosts.
So yeah, LOL, I'm knackered, but very pleased to see the site being used in full stride. Feels awesome guys, thank you so so much
Changes coming to the Trade area if the traffic plateaus or (less likely) increases
- The marketplace will show trades from the last 24 hours only during this peak time
- Your trades won't be deleted if they fall outside of this time window, only they won't be shown on the marketplace.
- You can see all your current active/sold trades on your profile page (
/member/YourUsername
). - If you want any of them bumped back to the top of the market list, you can do that from each trade's individual page (button at top saying 'Bump')
- The bump button will have a 6 hour cooldown, so if you've already bumped your trade up then you won't see it.
- These changes are not live yet, but will take effect over the weekend in a coming hotfix.
