Most common i've seen is 2 random for rubies and skulls and 4 for amethysts.

But in actual trade, anything from 2 to 6 for amethysts and 1 to 3 for rubies and skulls.

So yeah, depends a lot on who's trading what.

Depending on what your goal is, I would save
Perfect Gems
and trade them - 20
Perfect Gems
for
Ist
. Keep Amethysts separate. I also keep Rubies to cast
Blood Gloves

Common trade ratio is :
1
Ist
= 20
Perfect Gems

1
Ist
= 8
Perfect Amethyst

So 2.5
Perfect Gems
for 1
Perfect Amethyst
.
I use the same ratio on SCNL.
On ladder ratios for Ists can be a bit different but PGs for PAms still trade at ~2.5 ratio.

I've got on SCNL
- Mosaics, Cures, and Hustles
- GG crafted amulets
- Perfect uniques
- Bases
