Admittedly, I kind of went with the same assumption of "it never shows as immune so it probably didn't work". Though it would explain why they largely "feel immune" regardless.Pavke wrote: 19 hours agoHey. I just noticed a made a mistake. I just checked again and Bound Demons do endeed the Resistance Bonus from Blood Oath. They can become immune to elements but Immunity tag does not show up. This is update for my post/old patch. I will take a look at new patch if anything changed when I get some free time.FerociousTerrier wrote: 1 week ago2. Blood Oath isn't working with bound demons (resists or Hp gain--not sure about the other bits). Pavke posted about it and I've also done some testing and found zero difference in health from a lvl 1 Blood Oath and lvl ~50 Blood Oath.
It does pose an interesting follow-up question though. If they are "effectively immune" because their res ends up >100% but aren't "officially immune" (no tag), does the game consider them immune solely for the purpose of damage calculation (since calculating against 100%+ res always results in 0 dmg) or do they indeed get treated as properly immune across the board?
E.g. if they get hit with say lower res, does it fully affect them because they're not "officially immune" or does it get a 1/5th penalty due to hitting an immune target? Similarly, based on some (admittedly very limited and rough) testing, colossal ancient debuffs seem to drop res but seemed as though they can't break immunities. So for those, could they drop an Oath-immune bind back down to <100 or do they not affect him as he is considered immune despite no tag?
