Description

I’m on course to make my first Enigma.
I have my Ber ready. Strangely the Ith was easier to come by ;)

Buying the Ber cleared me out good and proper and the mountain towards Jah seems a long slow crawl.

Ruling out for a second that I may get a lucky rune drop (I am not lucky) what is the most time effective way to slowly accrue enough to buy a Jah?

I’ve been Key farming and planned to sell Unid torches but curiosity got the better of me and I Id’ed a lousy barb one - doh!

Is the Key market still relatively ok? It seems to be wilting through saturation. Am I better just mfing and hoping for that gg dweb or griffons to eventually get my Jah?

You could trade lower HRs for the Jah, like 2 Ohm + 2 Vex + 2 Ist

You may be able to sell unid torches for Gul or Gul+ still right now.

Or farm Travincal like a madman. I started 2 weeks ago, and got the equivalent of an Annihilus so far (which is more or equal to Jah, depending on the roll).

People do know that farming Travincal is decent for HRs. However, one of the underlooked things is the Jewelry. I have gotten EVERY ammulet (from Nokozan to Metalgrid) and EVERY ring (from Manald to BK). With decent MF (280+) and a horking barb with 50% item find, you can do wonders.

With a Sorceress, you need to take into account immunities of the monsters (like cold/fire or lightning), and get a merc with Kira's Guardian and Guardian Angel, so he does not die to Hydras.

Reaper's toll also helps alot against the physical immunes (Vilehand).

Compared to farming keys, the amount of APM required and maneuverability required are also much much lower.

Thanks for the tip, I’m running a poisonmancer with 368mf - 399mf depending on my rings so I’ll start hammering trav. I weirdly had better luck with my 0 mf zealot last time I hammered trav finding my first Ber (long since spent)

True, but finding a Jah is hard, the idea is to trade lower HRs for it, by selling rare magic items (HOZ, Maras, SOJ,...)

And even counting out magic items, the Travincal monsters (both uniques and trash) have very high rune drop chances.

If not, the alternative is to go for very dense monster areas and kill as many as humanly possible.

Update: Found another Sur rune (second one), third maras (low +24), Tals ammy, and HOZ with 2 more hours of grinding. Still pitching trav runs (yesterday SOJ + Vex)

I may be massively biased, but no other run has come close (as a person who farms his own keys and ubers)

Cow on Hell has a chance of dropping a Jah 1:654171
Lets say there are more or less 300 cows
2180 runs will presumably give you a Jah
It is around 220 hours
It is 110 chilling days of mf. And I didn't even count any others HR or some things you can sell for a rune. I think you can make your Enigma even before the end of winter.
Just think about attempts not like they are failed, but instead of that as if you taking one tiny part of your Jah. Good luck, buddy! I don't have much fun in this game when an SoJ dropping or a Ber rune, but I hope those who do have - will have it all

You're better off farming NM Andy for SOJs and trading for the Jah.

Now, if we go for the long term, farm your own Keys and get torches. 1 per day will give you a Gul per day. You would need 14 days of daily torch farming.

Thank God for this, because running Trav with a summoner is so much safer than any other build. That's what I use for Trav runs.

i found a random Gul and have been selling keys so I just cubed my first Vex and have 2 Ist. I have reached the first base camp of the Jah mountain :-)

We are in the same boat. I am trying to Gul up to Ohm/ Vex as much as I can. It may take a while, but we will get there ;)

Pretty much in the same boat. Got to a Ber after selling a mountain of junk. Now I have to do it all over again.

Key market is strange. You could easily sell a keyset for Gul a couple of weeks ago, then it suddenly "crashed", you couldn't sell any Key whatsoever. Now it's starting to recover for some reason, you can start seeing Ist+ offers again, I guess people are finding more runes and willing to gamble for torches again.

I found a Jah in arcane a couple of weeks ago but nothing really worth mentioning since then I can hardly even get keys anymore. I feel like the last 2 weeks of mf has been really slow. Not sure if they did something… I guess we just have to steady grind..

the rngesus gods have plucked me from the Jah mountain and given me this. I freaking love this game sometime. Pretty sure I can get a Jah now :D
