To the guys that keep paying Sur+Lo for Jah
You're killing me.
Been working on making a tesladin - Found a Sur, traded up for another one, made a Ber, sold that for Jah+. We're off and running. That was two weeks ago,
I've been grinding ever since, trading up, slowly gathering Ists.
I now officially have, Ohm 4Vex and 9ists, and I sold my Grief to get there as of today.... So essentially I have 2Lo + Ist. Which is more than enough to trade for a Jah.
But now no one is trading a Jah for anything other than an Anni or Sur + Lo., because it seems there are so many guys paying it.
Thank a lot, I guess my (duel) Dream is farther than I thought.
TLDR: Please stop paying Ber prices for Jah.

The prices for Jah are crazy at the moment, and my favorite rune, Lo, is depreciating, as well as all its cubing components ( Ist -> Ohm)
I guess everyone is making Last Wish or something.

Who decides on these prices and says what's worth what anyway? Is there real market data deciding these rune rates or is it just "some guy on Twitch said it"?

it clearly means there's a lack of Jah runes dropping, resulting in lack of supply, blame Blizzard's nazi control drop system for online bnet.
if you can't wait for market re-correction, try to obtain the item already socketed with the runewords instead, might end up easier to negotiate since some sellers want to offload theirs to break up into smaller runes.

Pretty sure that is in part due to the fact that tesladin grew in popularity as more and more content creators have made videos about the dual Dream build and the bulk of players already have geared sorcs, hammerdins, smiters, javazons... It's all about offer and demand and I wouldn't be surprised a lot of people are looking to make Dream right now.

Manually written guides which have to be updated by humans are always going to lag behind the actual value - that should be something we should all consider in the future. What a content creator says in a youtube video, or what a price guide says, or what people say in Discord etc. cannot be taken as gospel. That's why usually the creators of these guides include a heavy disclaimer to that effect, to make sure that people aren't mislead.
We cannot say that the price of X is 'ridiculous' - it's just what the market says it is. This can be influenced by a number of different factors like supply vs demand, the popularity of certain builds, game mechanics/balance changes, and a myriad of other things. I understand that it's frustrating to think you're 'made up' and ready to make a purchase, then see that the value has increased in that timeframe, but it's tough luck - the market doesn't wait for anyone.
If you want up-to-date, realtime, and accurate data on the prices items are going for, use the price-check tool here on diablo2.io. It is, as far as I can see, still the only tool on the internet that will let you make assessments for yourself based on the real price data that traders are submitting.
I know it sounds rich coming from me as I created it, but I've seen a worrying trend of other websites coming up with similar 'tools' which are just extrapolated from one single user's price list, and therefore fallible if the base values are not updated by the author - leading to people getting upset because they believed a price to be X but the market actually says it is Y.
Yep, saw your offer, 2 Lo equivalent should work, man how much do they want? (saw people adding between an Ist and Vex in trade)
I sold a Ber I found for 2Lo + Vex not so long ago. Perhaps be patient or add the trade in the game to see.
Also, the demand for Jah is starting to overcome that of Ber, which makes sense if everyone got their Infinity runewords (after Enigma) and now want to make Dream or Faith runewords

I just saw the price of Jah got updated to 30.5 ISTs in the rune price guide, I was probably using that as current value too much when it was outdated info.

Guys, its not only the Jah everything is dumped and you have clearly no chance to sell anything or buy something w/o get regged..
