Attempting a Nova sorc. I see the merc runs Infinity. What is the best base do you guys think? Eth Mancatcher, giant thresh, or regular thresh?

Nova sorceress has two common setups:
Eschuta's Temper or Crescent Moon Runeword and Merc with Infinity + Andariel's Visage
Or
Selfuse Infinity and Merc with Insight + Cure (and Prayer aura)
Best base depend on the extra ias Merc have...
With none or just 20%, I think it is Giant Thresher / Thresher
But most ethereal bases would do the job (the difference in damage is small...)
The cheapest/easiest base for Infinity is Stygian Pike (because Larzuk quest guarantees 4 sockets)

I'm willing to accept other forms of currency. Like Tokens, Keys, Perfect Gems, and certain minor runes in lieu of my asking price. I'm also willing to accept rune combinations that add up to my asking price.
Fire Sorc here with Prayer merc using Infinity on Ethereal Stygian Pike.
If there's something better than that base (like Thresher or whatever), I really don't think it would matter too much, unless you're aiming for perfection.
Cure Helm and Chains of Honor makes him both useful and decent fighter.
