Description

Creates an expanding ring of lightning to shock nearby enemies.

Nova Sorcs require very fast casting speed, a lot of mana, and the nerve to stand very close to monsters all around them.
Nova is not a very good boss killer, since the damage per cast isn't that high; its strength comes when used against numerous monsters at once.
Nova works very well when paired with powerful, casting delay skills like Meteor and Hydra.

With this attack the Sorceress creates a wave of electrical energy radiating from her fingertips, bathing all nearby enemies with its destructive force.

This spell is ideal for defeating melee opponents who swarm too closely.

If you are playing in Resurrected mode, this ability's arc provides a decent radius of light, illuminating the dark as it expands outward. The tendency of the Nova to stay within your light radius makes this little more than a visual effect, though.

Because Nova requires relatively few skill points (60) to reach its maximum potential, it is often paired with Energy Shield/ Telekinesis to facilitate the close-quarters engagements required to make Nova effective. By stacking the benefits of Griffon's Eye, Rainbow Facet: Lightning Death, and Infinity's Conviction aura and hefty -45% or more to enemy Lightning resist, most enemies will be forced into hit recovery before the Energy Shield buckles.
