Mercenary issues?
Hey,
Is anyone having issues with their Merc?
I just got the might merc from act2 nightmare. When I enter a hell game it revers to Blessed Aim.
My brother said same thing happened to him with Holy Freeze turning into Defiance.
Is this new? A bug?
Thanks for your help! I am hoping to try Might in hell to see how good it is.

Can be used to make Runewords:
The aura should still be the correct one, it will simply show the wrong icon in their stats screen. Im sure this bug will be fixed eventually. Servers first tho lol.

It is a visual bug only where chatacter screen displays aura what specific type of merc would have in present difficulty. He will still proc aura from difficulty where he was hired.
The REAL bug about the merc you can observe if you switch from runnin mode to walkin mode for your gameplay. He seems to get lost often just like unpatched skeletons - and this is one of the reasons defence stat is pretty much useless in D2. To benefit from defence, you must either walk or stand - but if you walk, then your merc is bugged. Sad but true. Good old running with reduced block and autohit from any mob it is so far 
That REAL bug is not a bug.
All Defiance does is increase your defense. It doesn't make it magically work when it isn't supposed to. While running, your defense is (intentionally) not applicable, with or without Defiance.
That's also not merc thing, a pally with his own Defiance works exactly the same way.
