People sell/buy normal Diadem, mainly for Imbue (OK).
But I saw one trade where the guy want to buy normal Diadem, but only with Max Defense (or almost Max).
Is there a logic reason for that?
From what I know,
if he want to Socket it, there are elite/exceptional Helms with more defense that may have 3 sockets too and have low STR requirements.
And if he wants to Imbue or cube the defense will be re-rolled...

Can be used to make Runewords:
Runewords + Diadem looks/no str req.

The only one (ignoring class-specific) with 3 sockets, higher def and reasonable str req is Death Mask (55 str). Anything else has either low def (normal helms) or over 100 str req.
And arguably characters with circlets look the best.
