How many of you found high runes on solo?

as in, getting luckier with good pricey unique, and starting to branch out for high runes? anyone has stories like this?

You can get High Runes much faster through trading vs finding them yourself. I've found a bunch more High Runes since I made my post above, but not nearly as many as I've acquired through trades since then. It's not necessarily uniques that are the most valuable (some are, particularly perfect and/or ethereal ones, depending on the unique). There are many kinds of high value items, too many to list almost.

If I would combine my all runs (trav, cows, meph, pindel, eldritch, shenk, countess, 85 areas), then maybe it would be about 100-300 runs. So far I found:

- cows,

Lo

Ohm couple

Um and

Pul
- pindel,

Lo
- travi and countess, couple of

Pul

Im just lazy and it gets very boring to farm for me. Anyway, like ppl said, you will find items that are way more valuable than that one rune after some time.

Vex are the only HRs I've got from trading.

Hadn't really considered trading until recently though, I imagine it's easy enough to get a few good runes if you hit the early ladder season hard with a less popular build and sell all the pally/sorc stuff.

i found few times HR on solo games. dont remember all but in 100% was: 1x

Ber (cows) 1x

Jah (in way to countess) 3x

Sur (travincall ,nihlaktak way ,chos sanct)

Vex (pit).
But no high runes from few weeks in multi or single games. Only one

Vex and once i was saw

Lo drop but dont get it.

Been running trav with my berserker barb on SP. In 2800 runs (done over ~1 month) I've found 1

Vex, 2

Ohm and 1

Cham.

I pretty much only play solo and I have found

Lo,

Cham,

Sur,

Ohm,

Vex,

Ist,

Gul. I do

Key runs, so most of them came from

Key runs / on the way to the

Key bosses.

Ber,

Ohm, and

Vex solo from

Chaos Sanctuary,

Halls of Vaught, and Diablo respectively.

In group, I've seen

Jah and

Vex drop from the minions in the throne room in separate public

Baal runs, and

Sur from cows. I picked up the

Jah, just missed the

Vex, and was a distant second-closest to the

Sur.

I don't target farm anything other than Keys of Destruction when I need them, nor do I pay attention to rune drop chances. The only solo runs I do now are

Nihlathak for keys and Diablo for solo XP and I can do each in under two minutes.

If I had a horker barb, I might run

Travincal, again because of the speed at which it can be done. Otherwise, I haven't had any luck with popular inefficient clear areas for runes like

Arcane Sanctuary or

Lower Kurast chests, although the latter can be really efficient only when you find and reload a good map spawn offline.

I've found more than one of every high rune except

Zod.

Lo is the most common high rune drop I've had, with at least a good dozen.

Around 1 year played D2R. 2x

Ber, 1x

Sur, 2x

Ohm from solo battle net. This Ladder "only" brought one

Ber.

Ist from Countess is my best solo.

Most of my Wealth comes from DClone tracking + Anni resell. Seen at least 10 Annis, sold in average between

Vex and

Ohm. NL only player.

I've found all my high runes solo, and I've only been averaging maybe an hour a day. If I remember right, my totals are 1

Zod, 3

Jah, 1

Ber, 5

Sur, 1

Lo, like 6 or 7 Ohms. Might be forgetting something somewhere.

Anyway, the vast majority of the valuable items that I find that are worth

Ohm or more aren't runes, so in my experience, farming anything solely for runes is a mistake. Even in

Travincal, like 80% of the value I find is not in runes. I honestly don't know where all the high runes come from, because like, for every

Ber I find, I trade for 4 or 5.

I play solo most of the times, so far i´ve found in this ladder 1

Ber (Pit), 1

Jah ( on my way to

Nihlathak), 2

Sur ( random chest in trav, champion pack in arcane), some

Lo and

Ohm (most on my way to countess or arcane) about 5

Vex and a few

Gul from random places or chest.
Like many have already said items usually are the best way to get HR, i´ve traded some things like anni or torches for

Vex/

Ohm/

Lo, you can get

Ist fast with gems or jewels.
i play about 1.5hrs a day, and trade here or ingame.

Also i took the advice from some of the guys here, i play mostly to have fun, and in places good for my characteres, i don´t kill trav council over and over again, or run

Lower Kurast all day long

what I'm interested to know then, since i never got to the level with my mains for endgame, no anny or torch, and they cost usually HR-mid.

so my bet i assume would be to sell base items which costs alot..

I'm seeing

Phase Blade-hopefully if i roll 5.
or threshers...according to trade "top selling"..is that a good route to go? or do you guys have something else up your sleeve?

Certain bases trade for decent value, no doubt. Often

Eth ones for mercs. What chars do you have? There are plenty of people here who would be happy to help with Ubers if that's what you need!

Cham yesterday to add to my meagre collection of self found HRs. As the description on this website says, my immediate thought was damn my bad luck for being so lucky.

In early D2 LoD I found a

Lo, but there was no Grief existing yet. Don't know what i have done with it.

Later in SP Plugy i got a

Ber but never found a

Jah.

This season I found a

Jah on day 3. What a motivation boost. But no other HRs yet.

Would say try to follow the DClone tracker and get an Anni yourself, and try sell the others.

DClone is beatable if you can beat Hell - even if it's easier as Pally - and even if you fail you can ask here for help.

To give you an idea, musy have killed him around 10 times. And killed hell

Baal only yesterday (doing quests with friends when all available) !
