Description

I got my hand on a 3
Fissure
, 3
Armageddon
base and now finally managed -15% flickering.
Beyond I am puzzled - I read a
Military Pick
with 6 facets and Phoenix could be a way to go.
Else Enigma, Arach,
Magefist
, Str
Boots
- SOJ and FCR Ring?
I assume I am trying to reach 68 fcr - correct? Do I need fcr for my spells or mainly for Enigma? I was under the impression that the spells all had some delay build-in. If I want even more FCR I would have to
Sacrifice
the
Military Pick
for HOTO - not sure how that compares.
Will I be casting
Volcano
as well or is it bascially
Fissure
,
Armageddon
and
Teleport
?

Since last patches the Cast Delay of one skill do not affect others, so you may alter between
Volcano
,
Fissure
, and maybe
Firestorm
or
Molten Boulder
while others are in Cast Delay.

FCR can help (with the animation before the casting delay), but has less direct effect on the final damage then with a skill with no casting delay.
On the other hand If your planning on using other attack skills during Cast delay, then FCR may help you to maximize you damage (as you be able to do more cast from your secondary skills while the main ones are in Cast Delay).

I cast everything, every time, everywhere, that's why I made a fire druid. Complete natural disaster. If I wanted to use a single skill, I'd play a sorc. :P

Especially because of the delay you can (and should) spam multiple skills.
Volcano
is really strong for single target damage - casting it beneath some big bad's feet melts them. Start with
Fissure
, pop a
Volcano
, roll a boulder, repeat as they come off cooldown. 99 fcr is really only for
Teleport
, 68 is good enough for most practical uses.

Also why
Ravenlore
> Flickering Flame
Those +3 skills will be on par damage-wise with ravenlore's (-15/0 against -25/+5), the rest will be weaker. The trade-off is 25allres for no gains (HFR and 50PLR), which to me seems too big to pass up on.
With a +30/-30 weapon it is at least not as noticable as you will be stripping everyone to -100% with FF anyway . With HotO it's blatant, so I'd say keep the
Military Pick
. :)
But I can't imagine capping resists without 65@ from hoto+ravenlore.

I was actually trying to find a -20
Ravenlore
for a while and either that item has such a low supply or people are crazy what they want for it. The pelt now was "cheap" in comparison

I remember you telling me about this build and the comparison between the two
Helm
maybe a year ago…are you still recommending the dual Plague act 5 merc?

Only if you can't afford an Infinity. ;)
It works, but isn't better.

Ahhh yes. I do remember now that you did say that act 5 merc because it’s cheaper. Thanks!

in theory, would a jmod be better than a Phoenix? I have the feeling Phoenix is much better in this case or am I mistaken?
