Description

Depends on the character type of course, but for Fire Warlock:

S-tier:
Extra Fast (slightly more dangerous, but faster killing as all of the monsters run to papa)

A-tier:
cold enchanted
lightning enchanted

B-tier
mana burn (arguably A tier, I never get mana burned)
extra strong

C-tier:
spectral hit (adds +20% fire/all element resistance)
Stone skin (slows down merc and demon)
cursed

D-tier:
magic-resistant (adds +40% fire/all element resistance)

F-tier:
fire enchanted (adds +75% fire resistance)

(note, for any elemental caster, just swap out invert fire with your element of choice to arrive at the same rankings)

My rankings are focused more on kill speed than safety, as fire WL is super tanky.
Ring of Fire
basically
Stun
locks enemies. He's only died once for me, and it was self-inflicted blowing up on cursed dolls by not paying attention.

I sharded a public P8 TZ game last night before realizing it was fire enchanted lol. It was fine, but I need to make a mental note to check that before busting the shards :)

Did I miss any? What are your rankings?

Counter point - I hate Extra Fast. I'd personally rank it towards the bottom regardless of class/spec. For squishy builds it's definitely F-tier. Also, on HC it's just asking for trouble. For some builds it's mostly an annoyance, albeit a big annoyance (IMO).

A-tier is any of Cold/Fire/Lightning Enchanted that isn't your primary element (all three are great if your build doesn't do elemental damage).

Mana Burn is probably C or D tier for magic based builds as it adds +20% magic resistance. Doesn't make a huge difference perhaps, but still. Also would be F-tier for
Nova
Energy Shield
sorcs, probably. Dangerous that.

I'm in CET (Central European Time)
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.

Extra fast is the unchallenged obvious S-tier as it is the only one that actually actively speeds up your killing, thanks to faster mob group creation and all that jazz.

After that, you get all of the defensive ones (resistances and whatnot) that happen to not matter for your build as they effectively amount to "nothing".

Then the other purely offensive ones as they don't slow down your killing but do on paper make things a tad more risky.

And lastly of course the defensive ones that do happen to matter for your build as those then actually slow you down a bit. Albeit typically not by much, seeing how it only affects trash.

That is of course assuming a decently built and geared character that doesn't have to worry about being too squishy to plow through things. If you're on the squishy side (or don't enjoy actual risk in HC I guess) then anything offensive (including extra fast) probably drops towards the bottom.

I agree with extra fast as the best because it speeds up clear speed. The worst for me is cursed, extra strong, and stoned skin. When I decide to use a shard I always check to see which type is up since your shard will take it on for the duration. For those my favorites are any of the elemental enchants with fire at the top since their Heralds are the easiest to take down, and extra fast can get annoying after an hour or so of continuous hyper monster attacks.
