Like Zebot said, if you're horking, you don't want cold damage. Avoid items like Pride, The Reaper's Toll, Fortitude, etc..
My favorite barb A2 merc weapons are either Insight for infinite mana (great for teleporting all over the place and horking giant piles of bodies) or Arioc's Needle (socketed with Amn or IAS/DMG jewel).
Another honorable mention is Breath of the Dying, but I haven't used/made one personally due to liking above options so much.

if you're doing trav, I'd recommend a Ral'd or Um'd Guardian Angel on merc + a Ral'd Tal Mask for 45 fire res and 10% life leech, or a Ral'd Kira's Guardian (or plain if capped), a nice rolled Temper ( Shael + Lo + Ral) would nice for Hydra's
