Description

So does an aura generated from Merc gear also affect player?
We know the act2 Merc Shares his basic aura.
But if I add an runeword like Insight to said Merc, would that aura also affect the player?
So both merc and player got 2 stacked auras, or the Merc gets 2 and the player 1?

Basicly does aura from gear affect others or only the wearer.

Can be used to make Runewords:

Item-provided auras do not differ from ones provided by an active skill and affect allies or enemies in their ranges - hence the popularity of mercenaries used solely as aura providers.

The only difference is that the same item-provided auras stack with each other (levels are added), but not with skill-provided ones.

The aura on Merc works like the aura on a main Character.
The point is that some auras affect allies and "aura user" in the same way (like Might,
Concentration
,
Meditation
,
Prayer
) other auras just affect the "aura user" (like
Redemption
,
Holy Fire
,
Holy Freeze
,
Holy Shock
,
Conviction
) or some aura have higher effect on the "aura user" and a lesser effect on allies (like
Fanaticism
)

The aura description generally says how it affect allies 😉

In general you want to put on Merc an aura that affect allies (so you gain bonus) or an aura that do not affect allies but causes de-buff on enemies (like
Conviction
and
Holy Freeze
)

When two benefiting auras of the same type are active, only the higher level aura takes effect. For example, if there are two mercs with level 16 and level 17
Meditation
in your party, only the level 17 one is working.

This does not count for damaging auras. All damaging auras take effect if they emanate from different sources.

For example, you can use
Holy Shock
from items (1-2x Dream), self skilled
Holy Fire
(as Paladin) and
Holy Freeze
from your merc all at once, or even three
Holy Fire
auras as well (Paladin and Act 3 Merc with 1-2x Dragon and Hand of Justice).

For low items I also accept: Perfect Amys,
Ral
,
Hel
, Tokens, Keys. Please don't offer runes lower than
Pul
(with the named exceptions).

Only the radial damage works this way, not the whole aura. In other words, the second setup would mean three sources of AoE damage, but only the higher level aura's (own or from items) damage would be added to Paladin's weapon damage.

This is correct, but I was talking about the aura effect.
