I also never played hc til a month ago. It was enjoyable for sure. Died twice, all from

Duriel on normal. I play as nec. My merc and 2-3 skellies once

Duriel finished with them, he one shotted me

3rd time i was able to defeat him, jsut abit more cautious

Overall i enjoy hc myself. I got him to 85 so far, but have been dialing back in d2r overall for the time being, but surely will get back soon.

I did get some outside help in term of starting gears and end game gears so my hc journey was sort of smooth sailing except for

Duriel in normal


Even with good end game gears, one still have to worry about Death due to connection, carelessness etc etc

Yeah, I'm currently away for the weekend and my connection here is a bit... unreliable. I've had a lot of lag and many disconnects so far. Two or three disconnects just while going through Act 2 Sewers. Hopefully I don't die before I come back home to a more reliable connection

One of the biggest parts of this challenge is to shake all bad softcore habits, like trying to proceed faster than your gear allows, teleporting into the unknown, looking away from the monitor when there are enemies around, going AFK when you're not in the safety of town, etc.
