I'd use thawing + antidote pots stack for c res and psn res. Then change Stealth and powervendor for some li res body armor. If u got some time to farm Gold, do that and try getting an upgrade for your rings to top up the fire and li res.
I gotta try to remember about those potions (I kinda mostly use them on Normal for Andariel and Duriel).
And yeah, might try to vendor an armor...
Perhaps better not hurry and complete the game fine. Hardcore and "I don't have much time gotta do this" are not very compatible.

EDIT: I never took any damage, but at one point I wasn't paying full attention and the Whirlwind guy had made his way over next to me (everyone else were clustered in/around a Bone Prison) and he was pretty close when I realized what was about to happen
