+3 Bow/Crossbow Grand Matron Bow...do I trade as is, or risk the socket roll myself?

Hi Folks,

Found a +3 Bow/

Crossbow

Grand Matron Bow.
I'm pretty new to the game (i.e., poor), so am wondering if I should try to trade as is and let someone else take the risk in socketing it, or if I should try it myself with the risk of it becoming junk.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Im not fully certain of it but doubt the +3 skills alone is enough? I could be wrong. Last time I found one of these someone told me it wasnt worth anything with just the 3 skills.

If cubed, chances to get 4 (like 1 to 3) sockets is 1/6 while 5 sockets is 2/6.

5 sockets can still be used for a Mist bow, which is pretty good for a cheap

Fanaticism aura and still one of the best bows for a Bowazon, along with Faith and

Windforce.

I would always risk a cube roll when I find a +3 bow. Doesn't cost much.

5 sockets value is close to no socket value.

3 sockets can sometimes be sold too (sold one 2 days ago), low value but better than 1 or 2 os

I would use cube to add sockets and keep/sell if it rolls 4 or 5 sockets (or 3 - for Hustle - if you are ladder... not may case... )

Take the risk, that's the fun!

4 socket case, 1/6 chance x 21 pa = 3.5 it is almost same to sold bow with 2 pa and 1.66 cost for cube 4 os case.

Of course, if you can manage long term sell, 1 week+ , 4os bow has reasonable 1

on the other aspect, if you can sell 0os bow around 3-5 pa, it will be definitely win , even if 4 os bow sell for week, cant beat this short time sell(statically, 0-3 5 os chance include) .

The problem of this bow is it occupy too many space, 8. And sell period is very long for 1 2 3 5 socket.

The reasonable keep item flow is around 2 week time in storage.

I think it would be 16.6% chance at 4 sockets. Dice rolls 1-6 and if it rolls 5 or 6, you get 5 sockets in this case since it can't roll 6 sockets. So basically a 1/6 chance at 1-4 sockets, and a 2/6 chance at 5 sockets.

That said, 5 socket is usable, so if you look at it that way, it's a 50/50 on not being completely useless!
