Yeah, Maggot Lair is right-oriented (on floors 1 and 2, the exit tile is always facing right* in relation to the entry tile - on level 3 it's straight ahead), so this makes perfect sense. I used to always be confused in Maggot Lair until I finally started to actually remember how it's laid out. I learned other maps, ones you farm often I mean, faster/sooner, Maggot Lair took a long while for me to "stick", longer than I would like to admit
But yes, I get the frustration...

The maps I run a lot I have a "feel" for, but I never liked maggot lair so I have to keep guessing every time. Plus the whole "left" map doesn't actually mean turn left thing throws me. Maybe in another 20 years I'll have it figured out.

That was my experience with Maggot Lair too for the longest time - it only finally āclickedā for me last ladder season, and Iāve cut down on needless running around in there by a substantial amount since. Since I play every ladder season, I start new characters fairly regularly and Maggot Lair has become significantly less annoying since then

Maggot lair "clicked" for me in season 12 since we were doing Larzuk rushes quite a lot. I know have all layouts in my head for these rushes. But when I run solo, I notice how many maps you skip in those rushes which I still don't know.
