Venom assassin set-up?

So I’m looking into the viability of the Venom assasin, seems like it could be interesting.

There’s some gear that’s going to be standard: Bramble, trang ‘ols gloves, shadow dancers, etc

But looks like there’s some options for weapons. I like the idea of ranged weapons, and have narrowed it down to:
- Witchwild String (2 sockets, free magic Arrows)
- Buriza-Do Kyanon (super fast high damage and fully piercing, just 1 socket though)
-warshike (then either with Blackoak Shield for the + dex or headhunter’s glory for the facets)
-big runewords - Mist, Brand or Faith, probably Mist would be best, but idk if i feel like a runeword for this build, feel like i need some facets to get all in on the Venom

I think i might have a good Circlet, if not probably Andy’s is best? Or COA/ Giant Skull with 2 psn facets?

I’ve got a few psn small charms (+175) but i think because of Venom they only add like 11 damage - still would add up.

Then to get Lower Resist I’d run an act 5 Frenzy barb with dual Plague, low armour Treachery and maybe Crown of Ages to increase survivability.

I’m leaning towards Warshrike so i could use a shield for the facets, it also has some piercing…

Amulet-wise Probably maras would be best, or maybe highlords? I think I have a 2/20 assassin crafted Amy around somewhere… not that she’ll be teleporting.

Skills would be max Venom, Burst of Speed, probably the Shadow Master, i think Blade Sentinel takes advantage of Venom (at a reduced rate though), and maybe Blade Shield

Don't Confuse 'tons of ias' with 'super fast'. A Ballista/colossus seems to Cap out at 11 frames for an assassin so..quite far from fast.

Personally, I only ever happily used Widowmaker as a ranged version because the Guided Arrow actually allows you to go full sniper and play differently than you would with just normal straight shots.
In the latter case, if you really want to just go for "normal, boring, straight-line ranged", use a Death's Web or 6-facet or the like. And Blade Fury. Same straight-line ranged but typically far superior to some rando throwing weapon or the like here.

Hmm, i do have a Death’s web.

Looks like there’s even more options than i thought.

Think it’s time i turned one of my barb mules into an assassin!
