Description

Hi all,

Over the years I have rushed and received many rushes, and in many cases at the end of Act 2, people find that they are not able to speak with
Jerhyn
inside the palace because it's blocked by a guard. Avoiding this is actually very easy, but it seems that many people still don't know how to do it properly.

To avoid
Jerhyn
being blocked, the low-level player must talk to
Drognan
after the high-level rusher enters The
Lost City
via waypoint.
Drognan
will explain that he believes the Claw Vipers are responsible for the eclipse. After you have kicked the alter, the low-level player must talk to
Drognan
again before the high-level player visits
The Arcane Sanctuary
via waypoint.
Doing so will cause the quest
The Tainted Sun
to complete and the guard will move and allow you to enter the palace.

If the high-level rusher quickly enters
The Arcane Sanctuary
, before the low-level player can talk to
Drognan
,
The Tainted Sun
quest will still be completed, but the guard will not move, blocking the palace. In this case, the high-level player can also cast a TP in the Palace Cellar and the low-level player can go upstairs to talk with
Jerhyn
, but I have found that it's so much easier to make two trips to
Drognan
and avoid bugging the quests.

Very minor correction:
Drognan
needs to be talked to after the sky goes dark which isn't typically right as
Lost City
is entered but after a bit of movement towards the
Valley of Snakes
. But yes, the main thing is to do it before your rusher enters
Arcane Sanctuary
.

If for some reason you don't speak to him in time while being rushed and find yourself with a bugged guard, all you need to do (as an alternative to getting a Harem TP) is to not click
Jerhyn
once you get there. If you only walk to the entrance of the palace,
Jerhyn
will start walking towards you and meet you there, just close enough to talk to him even with the guard being bugged. If you click him before he gets there however, he stops walking.
