At the risk of stating the obvious, the 15% to Maximum Elemental Resists found on this item is an extremely powerful set of modifiers. Going from 75% in a resist to 90% represents a mitigation of 60% of incoming damage.

This item is employed most often in endgame situations, as those provide the greatest need for extremely robust defensive attributes. Consequently, it is not uncommon to see Guardian Angel "upped" into
Hellforge Plate via Recipe: Elite Version of Unique Armor. An upped Guardian Angel has a Strength requirement of 196 and a clvl requirement of 66.

For a character seeking maximum block chance,
Guardian Angel's +20% Increased Chance of Blocking can constructively provide hundreds of life due to the dramatically reduced Dexterity requirement needed to maintain a 75% chance to block.

To illustrate, let us consider an Sorceress wielding a Spirit
Monarch. Typically, a clvl 85 Sorceress would need 319 Dexterity to maintain a 75% chance to block. However, the same Sorceress wearing a
Guardian Angel would only need 221 Dexterity to achieve the same result. Taking into account that each point in Vitality provides the Sorceress with 2 life, the 20% Increased Chance of Blocking effectively amounts to a "+196 to Life" modifier.

Smiters usually use Chains of Honor armor because of +65 all res. But if a Smiter achives the resistance needs whthout it. A
Guardian Angel, socketed with a
Um rune can be better. Doesn't worth upgrade to the Elite Version
Hellforge Plate due to high strength requirements (196).
