Agree with this. It can break up the repetitiveness if you fill all your stashes with Gold and have a gambling session each time.
That only works if your map is a STATIC map, and online gameplay is not static, as it changes for every new game. Offline LK strategies involve getting a map with very easy to access chests (often with fireplaces next to each other) and just opening chests until your eyes bleed.
Technically speaking its slightly more reliable than Travincal, but only offline.

You can either Hork run trav, Lower Kurast farm, or Cows into oblivion.
If you wanna roll your own, I could sell you 2 ladder Ohm for non-ladder Conversion. Coupled with your Ists you could probably easily get that Sur you need.

Another option would be to get a cheap Cham and roll Plague in an Eth 3os Cryptic Sword for an A5 Merc.
The Lower Res Proc would come easily when you need it and by equipping one, the merc gets a 2nd copy free, so double the chances at a proc. Frenzy Merc obviously.
Run Plague, Treachery and Ral’d Andy’s or Tals Mask/CoT if Budget.

Seems to indeed be an option.
Though while Plague is significantly cheaper, it is also noticeably worse than Infinity.
Not only because it can take quite a while to proc but also because the reduction is just quite a bit less.

Well, i traded Ber + Sur + 2 Mal + 2 + Ist for low roll Infinity and whith that Infinity on a second Chaos run ..... Griffon's Eye (20/10) dropped - what a irony of RNG gods.
