Either that, or a really nasty glitch nailed me. I had been using Insight with my bowazon. I ran into an incredibly kind ultra high level player who told me how important a Faith bow was to a bowazon, and just gave me the runes for Faith. I promptly inserted them into a bow I had saved for that purpose. When I took the Insight bow, and moved it to my personal stash, and placed the Faith bow in my bowazons hands, the Insight bow simply disappeared and was gone. Just like that. And I really wanted to pass on that Insight bow to my merc, and now, it's just gone. Some of those were not at all easy runes to get, not to mention the bow to put them in.
Can be used to make Runewords:

Are you sure you did not misplace it into your cube? Or maybe you misclicked and it droped to the Ground instead of moving it into your stash.
After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)

Personally have never ran into this kind of a "bug" if it is a bug. But you can very easily misplace an item just like KIWI mentioned above.
It very likely had dropped to the Ground or gone into your inventory / stash somewhere.
Items wont just disappear and mercs cant wear multiple weapons on top of each other.

Most realistic causes:
- You actually have it in your other weapon set as you switched those for some reason and didn't actually quite move it out.
- You put it in a different tab than you thought and are now looking in the wrong place.
- You dropped it into your cube without noticing and haven't checked in there yet.
- You accidentally dropped it on the Ground, rather than moving it to stash, meaning you just left it there to disappear in the game.
But a bow simply vanishing from stash shouldn't be happening. Back in the olden days, when everything and its mom was duped to hell and back, sure, dupes went poof on many an occasion. But nowadays and even more so with a bow you made yourself, not so much. Some sort of user error is significantly more likely here.

Oh I laughed out loud.Schnorki wrote: 5 months ago... Back in the olden days, when everything and its mom was duped to hell and back...
Only time I ever got "scammed" so to speak was someone taking advantage of this reality, things did poof that were duped. Over at Ingamers old D2 forum I had traded a guy a Sin GC. No life, just a plain GC for a few pgems. He then told me I sold him a duped GC and it poofed and threatened to report me to trade moderators. I gave him the measly few pgems back just to get rid of him. I should have just messaged the trade moderator with question "Who in the **** would waste time duping a plain GC when they could do a lifer?"Schnorki wrote: 5 months agoBack in the olden days, when everything and its mom was duped to hell and back, sure, dupes went poof on many an occasion
Never had a HR poof on me, always trade for exactly what I needed, when I needed, i.e. socketed it right away. That was the only way to survive in the Era of Poof.
I would be glad that the Faith bow hasn't disappearedSlapshot wrote: 5 months agoSome of those were not at all easy runes to get, not to mention the bow to put them in.

Absolutely positive. I looked around for it for over five minutes, in every possible place

I understand the logic behind your comments, but seriously, it was not misplaced anywhere, it did not fall onto the Ground, I looked, and looked, and looked in every possible place. It literally just went poof!Schnorki wrote: 5 months agoMost realistic causes:

Don´t take this personal but we have seen here already quite strange things. One guy once thought he did put some of his items in the stash when he actually had been looking at the inventory of a vendor and therefore sold his stuff

I completely understand. But the bow literally disappeared. I was not at a vendor, it did not drop on the Ground, it was nowhere in my character attached stash, and was not in the cube. Believe me, I am completely at a loss too.oOKIWIOo wrote: 4 months agoDon´t take this personal but we have seen here already quite strange things. And by the way, you were very kind and helped me with some gear for my barb back when I was starting. Thank you again!
