Impossible armor (?)

For couple of days I've been wondering - is this armor good as my first Enigma base?
It is highest def possible on

Wire Fleece (481 max def x 115% is 553.15) - so 554 shouldnt be even possible
but since

Archon Plate have lower str requirements and higher possible max def I'm not sure what to do:
Should I wait or trade for Archon or just go for it - my str on main character is much above

Wire Fleece requirements, but just
in case i would like to trade it later?

The issue I have with bases other than

Mage Plate is that, if I ever want to switch my Enigma to other char, I may have to re-spec my other char, since any strenght higher than 110 makes it mandatory to add points into it.

However, as a defense base it is fine.

In the end, Enigma adds 750-775 flat defense to whichever base you choose.

Actually, superior +ed armors always get the highest possible base def + 1. So 481 + 1 = 482 * 1.15 = 554.3, then rounded off to 554.

The only thing wrong with a

Wire Fleece is that an

Archon Plate is numerically better in every way (still light, better possible def, lower str req). But I for one would say if you happen to prefer the looks of a

Wire Fleece..go for it, the difference isn't that big. Still a solid choice.

Depends on if you're in a rush to have your Enigma, otherwise I'd suggest you wait or try and trade your

Wire Fleece for a good price to make it easier for you to find the armor you seek for

chasing def in the 100's is pointless.

wear what you think looks best

Mage Plate for looks + low str req

also the superior tag will make the repair cost astronomical
