Description

I've played this game since it's very first release and i don't remember them being this much trash.
Constantly, it's like the lotterly machine is set to "No wins only" tickets and made sure it never pays up.
There should be a T-shirt saying "I rescued Decard Cain and all i got was this shit ring" , or "i saved this village and all i got was this shit ring" .

After i started playing D2R i haven't seen a single good rare ring drop anywhere, despite farming Countess & Pit from 75 to 90 with 300% MF,
not a single ring worth keeping, that's not bad odds or "unlucky" , that outright "odds set against you to impossible" .

Same here. And I gambled a lot(!) of rings and got 1 or 2 useful ones...
Maybe I make such a shirt... 😁

After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)

rare ring can have 6 affinx. It is best possible ring . Most likely , good one consider like this
10 FCR, All Resist, Single Res

I get several tri-resist ring

Favor
Perfect Amethyst
over
Perfect Skull
...
These days, I don't need that much
Perfect Skull
, it is less encourage to pay in
Perfect Skull
but it will treat slightly better than
Perfect Gems
.

I have never found any GG rare item, the coolest thing was some dual leech ring with resistances and some othe stuff, or boot/gloves with 3 ress attack speed dex, life leach etc. but never something crazy, till some baba showed his stuff in the chat and I was like wtf? weapon doing 1k damage 1 hand and crazy armor/shield stuff, but I myself have never found anything that would say GG in its name lol.

Melee ring is different from
Caster Ring
. It needs Str Dex LL ML Res...

There are many combinations, I myself keep a box of okay-near_perfect ring. If my equipment changes, I need to adjust ring according to new setup to max attacking rating or max resistance.

The damage actually depends on your actually run. sometimes 10% damage difference is nothing. But yes, good ring is good.

Talking about ring, recently I see a guy, he make craft amulet and get All resist and max light resist and +2 skill, he wish to get a very high price offer...
I really thinks he need have second look at
Mara's Kaleidoscope
amulet. The am without fcr is not very expensive for caster.

I think the yellow ring also need to compare to craft one. In theory , 6 roll perfect can beat craft ring 4 affinx random. In reality, craft one beat rare ring consistently due to remake is possible.

If it makes you feel any better I don't find sh1t myself either when it comes to these rares. I have found a couple useful tri-res
Boots
. But never great jewelry.

Depends if you are after "useful" or GG rings. There are a plenty of very useful mediocre rings you can definitely use and still not be penalized too much of not having a GG one. Going even a bit further and I must say you should have founded at least 2-3 really really great ones for leveling (for example with a bunch of res and low lvl req).

For example, any 10% FCR + Mana + a bit of res I consider a "useful" ring and I have plenty of those. I don't think I have ever bought a ring from someone else and I don't really farm for anything in the game at all -- you just find them along the way.

Dual leech ones with decent AR are very interesting, all res with additional improved res ones are very good, even something with a lots of stats are consider quite valuable. Can you sell them and make a fortune? -No, not really. But can you use them as BiS for certain characters? -Oh you bet you can!

P.S. I have played on v1.07 and v1.09 for a very loooong time in the LoD and it was the same experience with the rings if not even worse... :D

Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."

I gamble my extra
Gold
on rings all the time and got a few good ones, nothing GG though.

For the rest, I cumulated gems, sold them for Ists, cumulated Ists, sold them for
Jah
and finally bought end game (far from perfect, but nice enough) stuff.

Not playing a lot (2-3 hours a week in average I would guess) but from the first day of D2R (when was it ? 2020?) and now finished game with 8 chars and all are quite well stuffed with no crazy luck overall (but no crazy bad luck neither). If you keep playing as long as you enjoy it, in the long run, Wealth will slowly come (though it may be harder these days now that Annis don't Rain)

The affix pools in this game are so big, 99.9% of rare anything is going to be trash.

I know that you can't actually see equipped rings, but some people like other rare bases like circlets or weapons just because they look different than the same runewords or uniques most other players are using.

I don't even pick up rare items when they drop. Typically, they're just not worth the time it takes to ID them.

Plus even if it were that one in a trillion actually baller rare..even the best of them would still not be BiS for any of my builds so f it. ^^

same with a few exceptions, i pick up rare amulets and rings, and occasionally
Boots

it really is hard to find a good rare ring or amulet

I think this ladder i found 1 or 2 of the best rare rings i found total in D2R

not sure about if this is considered a gg ring, but its dual leech 7ll 6ml 75 AR and 5% bonus Attack rating
21 fire res 5% light radius

and a ring i wanted for my self for a long time: 10% fcr 16 str 65 mana light res 26% :)
