Rivalling Wormskull for best necro head piece early on, Undead Crown is particularly good for Fishymancers summoning skeletons & mages due to its +3 to Skeleton Mastery bonus.

However, it quickly falls behind other options due to not giving bonuses to the Skeleton skills themselves which otherwise enable the Necromancer to summon more skeletons.

For the level a very disappointing piece, frankly, unless you lack the wherewithal to make a Lore, somehow (which is unlikely as Lore is available at 27). Consider +1 to all skills: Golem Mastery, Golems, Revives, Raise Skeleton, Skeleton Mage, Summon Resist - which list of course includes Skeleton Mastery itself.

Switching to this from a Lore and a well rounded Summoner is losing net 6+ to meaningful skills to gain 2 (since +1 to Necro skills grants you +1 Skeleton Mastery anyway).

Swapping Lightning resist for poison does not make the exchange more attractive, nor does the boost to defense. That's what your army is for.
