Lore

While it is fairly simple for a Necromancer to animate dead tissue, it is another matter entirely to instill the spark of life into inanimate objects.

The Clay Golem is the simplest form of this complex art, creating a servant directly from the earth to serve the Necromancer.

The intense drain this places on the psyche of the caster only allows him to maintain a single Golem of any type at a time.

Clay Golem is the very best golem for Summoner Necromancer. Because the slow effect will greatly aid with keeping your minions alive. Especially against bosses.

Clay Golem also becomes a strong tank with with only 1 point invested into
Clay Golem,
Golem Mastery,
Blood Golem and
Summon Resist paired with a decent number of + to all skill items.

Clay Golem has 25% base reduction to physical damage, the very best health scaling, can't be put into hit recovery, immune to knocked back.

Clay Golem slows target is applied on striking and when struck by a melee attack. The slow effect stacks with other slow effects and are usually paired with
Decrepify against bosses.
