I initially got pretty excited, but then quickly got disappointed as I realized/remembered you can’t socket Boots or keep them from loosing durability in any other way.

Regarding price, you don't care to break them but 50% more def is huge in melee duels.
197 is a nice roll. You can try to sell this for an Ist or Vex.
