Not sure about low level dueling but as far as I know when it comes to rare sorc staffs only one-hand orb's with +2 sorc skills and +3 to a useful skill like blizzard have any trade value. There's not a single trade for a Long Staff in the price history: pricecheck.php?item=1745. Because of that I would say it's worthless or am I missing something here?
Agreed with Atari. Even any Leaf will be better than that, and staves prevent shield use.
