The delays were blamed on changes in leadership both at Blizzard and on the game development teams. Diablo 4 lost its director and lead designer over the summer, while Overwatch 2 lost its executive producer in September.

Yes everybody loses when management lets their business be run by a bunch of douche bags who don't care about the player nor their employees.
Hopefully the shit-show that is the D2R servers is also giving them pause to not let D4 launch go like this. (although this is blizzard so i wouldn't hold my breath)
There may be hope that we are finally coming out of the blizzard dark age (that started ever since the merger with activision I'd wager)
Hopefully the "it will be out when it's done" policy that got us amazingly polished games like Warcraft 3 will finally return. It was clear over the past years that the pressure from executives and stakeholders to release games as fast as possible, create as much hype through marketing, etc. was becoming a detriment to the quality of their games and the happiness of the fanbase.
Very happy to hear that it's delayed too, hopefully they take as much time as they need and give us a worthy entry to the Diablo franchise.
I don't know about Immortal though, it seems like they took the time they needed to polish it, but it still remains a mobile game made with the intention to be profitable through micro transactions and pay-to-win mechanics. Personally not the type of game I'm looking for, being a PC/console gamer mainly.
