I have found a 3 socketed shield, i was wondering if anybody knew any good lightning resist runewords or gems i can socket it with, im in nightmare mode

Can be used to make Runewords:
Ancients' Pledge runeword will get you +48 resistances to lightning fire and posion, with 43 to cold
Ral Ort Tal are runes needed
Required Character level is 21

Not a shield, but Lore ( Ort + Sol) in any non-magical (white) 2-socket headgear gives 30 light res + a lot of added value for most chars. If you haven't got it already.

If you are level 31 or higher, Moser's Blessed Circle with 2 perfect diamonds gives 63% resist all along with 25% increased chance of blocking and 30% faster blocking rate.
Or do 2 Perfect Topaz for +105% Resist Lightning and 25% resist all.

Hello, i was wondering how you knew about the “Sealion” runeword, it’s nowhere online!! do you just have superior knowledge about the game? XD
Try it out, it works, make Sealion and boom 105 lightning res on a shield.

what lever are y y dont need 105 Lightress if y need put 3 Ort (1ort35 ress light so 3x35) just make ancPledge its better also y can remove that orts3X by adding that shield in cube with Hel rune and TP scrool it deletes runes so y can add new ones

I don't think I've made Ancients' Pledge since the early 2000s, although I rarely play ladder. I think 3 perfect diamonds in the shield is better if you just want all res.

I can understand your point from a nonladder or offline position, but in a fresh ladder start you will not have 3x perfect diamonds on normal difficulty, it will probably take well into nightmare or possibly even hell before you have that - unless you stop to farm and isn’t just pressing forward - whereas you will get Ral Ort Tal for free by just destroying the prison doors on the way through (you have to run/tp through the Frigid Highlands anyway, may as well spend a few seconds letting out those prisoners). and my very first zon ( Lightning Fury at that time) was running with Ancients' Pledge for a while cause I couldn't find a Monarch and hell was such a pain (hello you all Spirit / Enigma haters)
