Description

A level 1 character should be able to mule more than one Annihilus, Gheed's Fortune, Hellfire Torch, and any Renewed Sunder Charm, as a level 1 character cannot use any of those items. It is annoying having to use shared stash space for these things! I know nothing about game code but I assume this would be possible, but who knows. I'm just rambling at this point.

Oh and totally unrelated, but does anyone know if they are ever going to fix the namelock bug that started happening when RotW dropped? (can't namelock enemies when show items is toggled on) It's quite annoying!

Can be used to make Runewords:

But what would happen when this character hits level 70 and he has all this stuff in his stash or iventory?

Or just remove the restriction on multiple of these being in the personal inventory, so long as it's not on the character. Restriction off the character is pointless.

I have a bunch of fire sunders I want to roll, but one reason I've delayed is, then I will have to move all the rolls I don't want to the shared stash. At which point most will be impossible to trade, but feel wasteful to throw out, and too time consuming to give away unless is just in a random FREEE game, where they could get picked up or could disappear.

Maybe I'll just roll them and then list them for giveaway here in one single post, and toss any not claimed in a couple days.

Agreed.

All but one would have to be rendered useless, similar to how items stay equipped but do nothing if you remove Anni/Torch from inventory, lowering stats below requirements. Seems complicated I guess.

This is probably also a reason why these items are shared stash only. Blizz wants to prevent people to fill up 20 mules with torches and sunders. Now every account has a maximum of 5 shared stash tabs plus one of these items per character. Still quite a lot, but not enough for certain whales to create a monopoly.

It’s an annoying setting that’s for sure.

For carrying on the person, I think using the ‘ Conviction aura’ solution could be something that Blizzard adopts to avoid the same character getting the benefit of more than one sunder. So some sort of table where the game determines which sunder is strongest (-10 or +15, life vs mana etc). All remaining sunders on that person have no effect whilst the strongest is being carried. Or they could be nasty and have all additional sunders apply the -70 penalty without the benefits - as well as being a waste of space. Might be nice if they have a recognisable aura for those carrying a sunder too :-)

Not sure what alternative solution to the million torch mule conundrum could be however..

I provide my bnet details after I have accepted your offer/ you accept mine.

Flexible but mostly trade is UTC+1 evenings. Note timezone differences: several hours ahead of US / behind Asia. Prompt but don't expect instant. This ain't Traderie.

This was actually the case with the old sunders. The -res of several sunders was added up.

Yes, quite right! Although as there was only ever one benefit to carrying an old sunder, not many would intentionally carry 2+. Accidentally - that’s a different story - I’m certain that the accidental carrying of multiple old sunders may have contributed to the deaths of many heroes in Travincal, CS or WSK…

Opinion: We should not need mules in the first place!!!

How fucked up does a stash system have to be that extra lvl 1 characters are needed?!

It got much better when stash was increased from the original 4x5 (remember?!) to the now 5x100 + stackables.
But obviously, there is still huge demand for more stash space and better ways to organize stashed items.

Playing HC SSF right now.

Hell completed: Sorc, Druid, Paladin, Ama, Assa, Necro, Barb
Iron Man (Paladin): Nightmare A1

Well, I think people will max out whatever space is given to them, no matter what, unless it is nearly infinite. At which point they will use mules.

However, Blizz is missing out on the most no brainer revenue maximizer ever by not providing say, 20 extra shared stash tabs or mules for $30 a year, or something like that. I think most people would pay

Do you remember D1? There was no stash at all! But you could throw items and Gold on the Ground in Tristram and it stayed there until you make a new game (= reset the levels), because monsters stayed dead when you killed them.

About D2R: When I first heard about the Chronicle, I hoped that it would incorporate a special unique/set/runewordstash like in Path of Exile's special stash tab for unique, where you can stash one item of each type.
I remember I had about 850 of about 1000 uniques stored there. All chars could take the items out. And when a unique dropped and you already had it, you could compare its rolls with the rolls in the unique stash tab.

But the Chronicle is just a holy trail tracker, I was disappointed when I found out.

That all being said, I would gladly buy a few more character slots and stash tabs, if the price is reasonable. 10 euro/dollars for 6 new stashed tabs and 4 new character slots.

30$ every year? So, you rent the extra stash space?
That would be a new brutal level of greedy.

I agree that this would be too greedy.

But in general, I think Blizzard would have a better business making d2r free to play and you have to pay a monthly fee for every additional character or stash slot. I also wouldn't mind paying that money if it went into fixing bugs and balancing. I don't want to buy a new expansion every now and again because they drop another totally unnecessary OP character.

Playing HC SSF right now.

Losing 20 stash tabs of items because my card declines one year ? 😬 no thanks.
If blizzard wanted new ways to monetize d2r i would hope they would go for something like poe's model

just Charge us for the tabs, and be done with it.
